Chair

Jackee Kasandy

I am an expert in retail, marketing, and strategy with two decades of corporate advertising and marketing experience, along with a decade as an entrepreneur. Since founding my successful lifestyle brand, Kasandy Inc., I have worked on advertising, marketing, growth, and transformational strategies across various industries, including retail, food, consumer products, corporate, and hospitality. I have extensive experience in large-scale, multi-year marketing, advertising, and digital strategy, with a focus on product launches, mass-market retail strategy, customer journey redesign, store operations, digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation.

I have appeared in numerous news articles nationally and internationally, including stories and interview clips in Montecristo Magazine, and was recognized by the Vancouver Economic Commission as one of the "23 Black Leaders in Vancouver," sharing my entrepreneurship story and advocating for women business owners. I currently serve as the global president and board chair of the BEBC Society, which I founded in 2020, as well as the CEO of Kasandy Inc, which I founded in 2014 and established in 2016 with a brick-and-mortar store located at the historic Granville Island in Vancouver, BC.

I also serve as a board director for Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver, BC, and as a board commissioner for BC Housing. Before founding Kasandy Inc. and BEBC, I worked as a marketer at WorksafeBC, BC Ferries, BCLC, and at various advertising agencies in Toronto.
